It appears that the foul mouth of Alun ‘Carpetbagger’ Davies, one third of the three stooges, has got him into trouble again. According to Sharpe End last night Chris Franks has reported Alun Davies to the standards committee after he unleashed an outburst riddled with profanity at an Assembly committee meeting.
Rumours were that one of the main reasons he chose to seek the Blaenau Gwent nomination instead of remaining as a list candidate in West Wales was due to the uncertainty that he would get support for that position. Apparently he has rubbed quite a few local labour members in his region up the wrong way due to his bull in a china shop approach and his tendency to swear at people when he flies off the handle.
Given he has already come across like a bully attacking Trish Law maybe his language and temper that will cost him yet again.

The guy's a liability. I think Plaid must be paying him well for what he's doing to the Labour party's reputation.
He is a Plaid mole, purposefully undermining Labour. This is fairly well-known.
Alun Davies has always had an aggressive personality. You can see his bully tactics a lot in his politics. Where he will have a problem is that it will be ok in a regional role where he doesn't have spesific constituents per see but when he has to win hearts and minds in BG he will struggle. Throwing out swear words so casually wont help him a bit.
He was well known for that sort of behaviour when he was a tabacco lobbist.
Why does the Bevan Foundation have him on their Board I wonder, if he is such a liability.
Is he there to get some good press when he goes for Blaenau Gwent
He is not the sort of person who should be in public life. He deliberately tried to mislead the Plaid's national council over the 1997 devolution referendum. If he had won - his lie was exposed - the popular vote would have been lost.
He was virtually drummed out of the party when he stood for director of communications due to his appalling activities. After he had squandered is capital - some actual - as Wigley's golden boy, only then did he join Labour. Just in time for their 1999 defeats.

Bevan Foundation used to have Paul Starling as its director, the man whose vicious war on my culture and language, egged on by the worst elements of anti-welsh Labour, made me leave the Labour party after 30 years of membership.
I think the foundations intentions are good, but it'll take me a while to trust their political independence again.
He swears to compensate for his drink problem which in turn is brought on by his massive frustration at being the only rat to join a sinking (new labur) ship
