Lord Roberts has a lot of work!

Last night’s episode of Dragon’s Eye once again highlighted the serious issues the Tory party have with devolution.

Nick Bourne did his usual party piece of playing up to the card whilst English based Shadow Welsh Secretary Cheryl Gillian (whose website contains not a word of welsh) was far from happy discussing the issue. In line with David Cameron’s stance on just about anything she refused to discuss any potential policy issues. In order to defend her position (or lack of it) she even said Plaid was split on the issue. This was followed by a statistic showing every single Plaid AM (who have already received a mandate from their party to pursue a full law making parliament for Wales) supported a potential parliament. In the same Assembly poll whilst an encouraging 2/3 Tory AM’s said they supported a Parliament for Wales they still cam out the lowest of the four parties for their commitment to the issue.

The three Tory MP’s in Wales were all “unavailable” for comment. Hardly the endorsement that Nick Bourne desperately needs.

Update

Betsan Powys notes that the Tories are not even sure about their own review on the issue!
