So we have the Government. It shows a real lack of ambition to have no new faces, although in fairness to Rhodderz there is no one with any particular talent knocking at the door. We have been left with the same people, pushing the same policies. Unionist leadership contenders Huw Lewis and Leighton Andrews will be tamping that they have been snubbed in what is clearly a slap on the wrist for all their recent negative outburst and possibly a backlash for their disastrous election strategy. Rhodri Morgan’s snub to the North Wales Labour AM’s will also show that the Labour party is no longer a party that can claim to represent the people of Wales as a whole. The full Cabinet is below.
First Minister - Rhodri Morgan
Minister for Health and Social Services - Edwina Hart
Minister for Education, Culture and the Welsh Language - Carwyn Jones
Minister for the Economy and Transport - Dr Brian Gibbons
Minister for Sustainability and Rural Development - Jane Davidson
Minister for Social Justice and Public Service Delivery - Andrew Davies
Minister for Budget and Business - Jane Hutt

I am just massivly relieved that Huw Lewis never made it into cabinet! The guy has really made a fool of himself over the last few weeks and i personally blame him for creating the situation where labour have to govern with a minority!
Huw lewis will be a Jr minister or assistant and will further his ego.
No doubt simo...but i think a lot of people were tipping either him or leighton to have a place in the cabinet and you must wonder why it hasn't happened? Is it because of their failed tory scaremongering election strategy? Was it in order to cool their leadership ambitions unsettling the labour party? Or maybe a slap on the wrist for the continual anti plaid press they have been doing that has scuppered a potential deal that could keep them in stable Government
Che - do you ever realise how very silly you sound with constant anti-Labour, but espeially anti Huw Lewis and Leighton Andrews, outbursts?
Leighton is a man of undoubted talents, while Huw was the only person in the last Assembly - Cabinet or Deputy - to take any steps towards serious legislative ideas. He placed the Child Poverty agenda firmly at the heart of Government. Surely even a rabid anti-Labour attack dog like you can give credit for that? Or is it just too painful?
With a name like Freddie star I'm sure you'll forgive me for not taking advice on how not to look silly!
As for your points, I don’t think im anti labour, in fact I was for an agreement of working with them to form a stable government, if anything im hardened to working with them because people like Leighton and huw Lewis decided to put their prejudice and tribal politics before creating a stable government for Wales, thus we end up with an unstable, unimaginative minority administration.
I think Leighton has some quality. he is certainly a shrewd press operator, even if that imagine has taken a bit of a knock as a result of his disastrous election strategy for the party. Still whilst I think Leighton may have some talent I have to say Huw Lewis really is a weak AM. Of the cabinet I think Carwyn can prove useful, if only because he is willing to work with other parties, and Jane Davidson has proved effective. Having said that it is difficult to really praise many of them. For example Andrew Davies and his team made a mess of objective one money, Brian gibbons handling of the health service has been a disgrace and most of the backbenchers are there to vote for Tory policies in a disguise of labour clothing!
Freddie anyone thinking that Huw Lewis is an effective AM shouldn't be calling other people stupid!
